Goodbyes....

Two peas in a pod....
How do you say goodbye to someone who means everything in the world to you? How  do you say goodbye to the person who laughs with you, cries with you, is always there for you? How do you say goodbye to the person that you are closer to than anyone else in the world, the one who knows all your secrets and loves you anyways, because you know all her secrets too. How do you say goodbye to the person who lives 5 minutes away, and will now live 500 miles away? How do you settle for only emails and phone calls and only seeing eachother a few times a year? How do people do this? How do you say goodbye while knowing your life will never be the same without them. I don't know how I am going to survive my sister moving so far away from me. We have been close for so long, I forgot what it is like to not always have her around. We hang out with them so much, its going to be so lonely without them. I can call her in the middle of the night, and I know she will be ok with it. I can't even think about it without bursting into tears. We have spent the last 4 months not talking about her going, but knowing we were counting down the days and now that day is here. Thursday we are helping my sister and her hubby and little boy move to california. I am glad we get one last trip with them, that I get to postpone saying goodbye for even just a few more days. But when that time comes, I just don't know how I am going to say that final goodbye, knowing it will be months before I see them again. This is going to be really hard for me.
I love my precious little nephew with all of my heart, i can't stand the thought of not seeing him grow up day to day for the next 2 and a half years. It breaks my heart.
My brother in law is like the brother I never had. We will be so sad without these two around, they are our best friends!!
When I get back from california on sunday i am going to need a little TLC, please call me!!!!

Girls night

Celine was having one of those friday nights where the friend that was suppose to call her didn't and she didn't know what to do. So, we decided to do a complete makeover on her! I love doing makeovers, its so fun. Little did I know how gorgeous she was going to be with a little bit of makeup and some gorgeous hair!  I painted her nails and toes and then we watched Twilight. Its so fun having a daughter to hang out with, it helps me enjoy her getting older!! And she talks to me, which is so nice! She tells me everything thats going on in her life and at school. I hope that never changes.

WICKED!!

Yesterday was one of those rare, perfect days!!! It was a whole day spent doing stuff just for myself ( i know, thats very selfish, but since there so rare, i figure...why not!!!) I used a spa gift certificate I got from Kaleb for christmas and went to the salon. I got a pedicure, with awesome turquoise glitter toes, a manicure and a wash and hairstyle. It was very relaxing!! Then off I went with my M-I-L, F-I-L, and two sister in laws to go see WICKED up in Salt Lake! First we got to eat at The Roof, it was sooooooooo yummy, I couldn't stop eating! And we had the gorgeous view of the Temple and of Salt Lake Valley. We sat and ate and talked and it was just a very nice, relaxing meal. And the food....WOW!! Next it was to the Capital Theatre to see WICKED. We got to our seats and who was sitting two rows in front of us... President Monson!! It was absolutely amazing, to be that close to our Prophet, I really wished that I could have spoken to him or even just shook his hand. Also Brother Uchdorf was there, both of them with there cute little wives. Everyone at intermission was standing trying to get a look at the Prophet and he stood up and was waving to everyone and everyone was trying to take his picture. I am sure I will never be that close to our Prophet again, it just made my night all that more amazing, what a great, great man he is. But the show was just incredible!! The music and singing and the story, I loved it all. I hope I get the chance to see it again someday!! Well,  and the best part was that my night did not end there. I came home and me and Kaleb watched the Jazz game.... AND THEY WON!!!!!!! It was a perfect day.

Open mouth, insert foot

Do you ever stick your nose in where it doesn't belong? I have a tendancy to do that, not to be malicious, but just trying to help, yet it never seems to go that way. I need to learn to never get involved with others people business, even if they openly invite me to participate! I did it again today, listening to a friends problems and just wanting to help out, but when I tried, yeah, that didn't go over so well!!! It always seems to blow up in my face. I do have a tendancy to be very interested in others peoples lives, I try not to be nosy, but if someone wants to tell me the drama in their life, I am more than willing to listen! And when I know that someone is doing something hurtful to someone I care about, well, its hard for me to sit back and ignore it. I want to DO something!!! But, a lesson learned today, TRY not to get involved. Giving a listening ear is always appritiated, but let that be where it ends. Hopefully I will learn my lesson....again.....

Pretty dumb, or pretty but dumb...

How could I not go out and enjoy this gorgeous weather today? Well, this is what happens when you forget to put on sunblock!! Two and a half hours of playing in the backyard with friends and kids, plus two hours of weeding equals a nice BURN! But, it was worth it. I love this weather and can not get enough of it. In fact, I will probably be out tomorrow, but this time, I will have on some sunblock!!

Spring Break

Well, this definitely wasn't the best spring break we have ever had. Last year was MUCH better, we spent a week down in sunny arizona at a house with a pool and a hot tub...yes, that was much funner than this year. But, we tried to do some fun things, we went to a few play places, went to jump on it and then on friday night i built the kids a fort down in our play room where they ate dinner, watched a movie and roasted some smores. Trying to give them one last fun thing before they went back to school. But, we survived and now I am ready for the kids to go back for their last 6 weeks of school. thats right, SIX WEEKS LEFT OF SCHOOL!!!

As for celine, this is pretty much all she did this spring break. Read. She read twilight, then watched the movie and the read New Moon. This one isn't my social butterfly.

Superpowers

If I could choose a super power, today it would be the ability to read peoples minds. I would like to know exactly where I stand with people and what they really think of me. I would like to know how other people view me, because I am not always sure of myself. I am feeling a little out of sorts this week with everyone in my life. My kids, my hubby, my family, my friends, pretty much everyone. If I could read people minds, then I would know if I am not as important to someone as I think I am, or maybe it would surprise me that I am important to a certain person. Or if I did something to hurt or offend someone, I would know and I could work on making myself better. Would it be better in life if the moment you saw someone, they held up a sign telling you how they felt about you at that moment. Maybe it would make life simpler, or maybe it would just make it that much harder. Sometimes, well, most of the time, I wish I didn't have to guess at people. Am I really their friend, or do I just annoy them? Am I a nice person, or do I just think I am? I get tired of the games we all seem to play with eachother. I am going to work on being a more open person, so that people know just where they stand with me, and they don't have to guess. People who are important to me, I want them to know. If I think of you as my friend, I am going to try to get that message across, whether or not you feel the same way....
Yeah, I am a little out of sorts. Hopefully I will sort myself out soon!!!!

Marley and Me

Wow! Me and kaleb just got done watching this movie and I loved it!!! It was like watching a little bit of my own life, and a little bit of what might be in the future. I swear one fight they had in the movie me and kaleb have actually had!!! It also made me so glad that we got a dog. Some days I go back and forth, some days having a dog is a hassle, but I know in the long run I will never regret getting max. There are days when I feel like he is a blessing for me, when all my kids are gone and I am home alone, he is there with me to hang out.  But this movie was so real to life, at least a lot of it. The emotions coming from Jennifer Aniston when she is a mom, I was totally relating to her! There is a part when she goes in for her 10 week ultrasound of her first pregnancy and they find out that there is no heart beat, it was such an emotional thing to watch. I felt myself feeling so blessed that I have never gone through that. I have never had a miscarriage, never gone to the doctor for my pregnancy and gotten scary news like many people I know have. My heart goes out to those even more who have gone through that in real life. But, I highly recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it, it is definitely one of the best movies I have seen in a while. Kaleb didn't even say it was the worst movie he had ever seen, thats GOT to mean something!!!!

3 things that do not go together...

Spring Break
Crappy Weather
A sick and onery mom.

yeah, those three things should never happen at the same time, yet here I am. its snowing outside and I want to scream!!!!! i am tired, and tired of being sick, and tired of not knowing what to do with the kids.....yeah, not the best spring break I 've had!!!!

A beautiful easter weekend...

What a really wonderful weekend we had. Saturday was Tages baptism day and it was a perfect day, everything went great! We had so many family and friends come to his baptism, we are so blessed to have the support of so many wonderful people. His baptism was wonderful and Kaleb comfirmed him and gave him a beautiful blessing. It was a happy and emotional day for me as tages mom. Tage did have to be baptzied twice, but I had to laugh, because out of all of my kids, I would expect that to happen to tage. Being a boy, he didn't say too much about how he felt about the whole day, but I hope inside he was very happy.

I love easter sunday!! And today was testimony meeting as well. My kids all looked so adorable in their easter outfits, I always try to match them. They are getting so big, I will have to look over the last 12 years of easter pictures and see how much they have grown. My best friend val put together a video of pictures of tage as he was growing up and it will be something I treasure forever! She did one for celine on her baptism day and I love it. I will always be glad to have them. As a mother, there is nothing that gladdens your heart more than to see your children walking on the right path. I am so proud of Tage, it was a very special day and I hope he will always remember it. And thank you to all my friends and family for making it such a special day.

Would you do this???

Two nights ago kaleb opened the front door as he was saying goodbye to his scouts and found our mailbox nicely laying on our front porch! WHAT????? Apparently it seems that someone ran into our mailbox and knocked it over, got out, put our mail box and stand on our front porch, and then left....hhhmmmm.....is there such a thing as hit and run for mailboxes???? If your going to get out and nicely put someones mailbox that you creamed on their front porch, wouldn't you leave a note or knock on the door???? I wonder what the jail time is for hitting a mailbox and leaving the scene of the crime?.......

I caught my daughter acting like a teenager...AAAHHHHH!

Thats right, I caught celine having some teenage attitude today! Aliah wanted her to open her jello pudding cup and she wouldn't do it. I caught her in the act and called her out on it and she just roooolllllled her eyes at me! So I got out my camera and I told her that I was going to record her having some teenage attitude, and I DID!! But, unfortunately, my camera is having technical difficulties and it did not record this event. Therefore, no one will ever know that I am telling the truth! That celine CAN act like a teenager! But everyone thinks she's perfect...HA!!! Don't let this angel disguise fool you!!

I LOVE to blog...

Tonight I sat down and went back and read through all of my old posts from the day I started. What a great idea this whole blogging thing is!!! SO many thoughts, memories and feelings that I might not have remembered by now, or anywhere in the future, if not for this wonderful thing called blogging! I have caught up with old friends, kept in touch with people who I might not keep in touch with any other way. What an amazing idea this was, whoever thought of it I give them a big pat on the back!!! After a year of blogging I will try to put in into a book, anyone else done that yet? Lets keep on blogging!!

A busy week...

We started off last week with tages friend birthday party, they went to the space center and absolutely loved it!!! He got every present that he could have wanted, what more can a kid want in a birthday? Then at the last minute we decided to go down to St. George for the weekend with april and luke and jaren, it was gorgeous! I was so busy enjoying the sunshine that I forgot to take any pictures! But the kids swam a ton, we went to the park, the boys went golfing, we had a picnic. It was a great weekend. And then we came home to snow. For Tages actual birthday we wanted to go to Red Lobster, so Kalebs whole familly came to celebrate with us. The highlight of Tages night was that because it was his birthday, they let him hold one of their lobsters. GROSE!!! But tage thought that was awesome!! So, he had a very good birthday, and I still can't believe he's 8!! Coming soon: His Baptism!!
