This life is beautiful, I'm so glad its mine.

The most beautiful moments in my life seem to come because of my kids. I find the greatest joy in watching them do things and accomplish things that they love. This week, I watched celine perform in her play "Once upon a high school". The effort and time that goes into these plays is unreal, it takes her away from home every day after school for months. But it is all worth it. And today, I watched tage kick a soccer goal for his team. This doesn't happen very often. This is only his 3rd or 4th goal in 3 years of playing soccer. The joy I feel to see his excitement at his accomplishment is my favorite thing. In a couple of weeks I will be watching aliah at her dance performance. And again, I know, that those moments will be where my true joy comes from. How I love these kids of mine. I feel so proud of each  one of them.  Not every day do I appreciate my life, and my kids and think that its beautiful. So I am taking advantage of those feelings today.  Tomorrow it might be really ugly, tomorrow I may wish to run away or hide in my bed. But today, today my life is beautiful, and I am so grateful for it.

Here is tages big moment!!!
 He is so excited! :)
Some of my favorite moments from celines play, in no certain order. Here Sleeping Beauty, Little Red and Cinderella decide that they are going to save the day, and not wait around anymore for the "Heros"!
Charming is in hot water with cinderella when Sleeping Beauty pricks her finger and falls asleep and he catches her in his arms. Cinderella is not happy!
Here the wicked witch is just waiting to poke sleeping beauty so that she will fall asleep. best moment.
Just love her face here. :)
Here she's being comforted by the other girls, because she has had to drink coffee to stay awake because she kept pricking her finger when she was chopping fire wood by herself because there was no woodsman. :)
The look her and charming are giving each other is just priceless.
So proud of my "sleeping beauty"!
Here she is with the woodsman, who just called her sleeping beauty, and she is very flattered by the "beauty" part.
Celine had a great moment after the play. The acting director for the Hale Center Theatre was at the play, and afterwards he came up to Celine and told her he thought she was really great in the play and he asked her to come and try out at the Hale Center! She was sooooo excited.
I am so proud of this little family of mine.

life, part 2. yep, theres more.

So, I left off at the beginning of our spring break!! We were all ready for a "break" from the schedule of every day life. On tuesday I took my kids up to the new city creek mall, I had been dying to see it! It was a beautiful place, the stores, well....nothing too new and exciting, but it was still super fun.
I wanted to go into Tiffanys so bad, but there was no way I was going to take my rowdy kids onto that store, so I did a little window shopping. I told my girls "someday, maybe you'll be proposed too with a Tiffany ring.:)" they were GORGEOUS!!!! We all did some shopping and ate lunch in the food court. I would love to go back up with some adults and eat at the cheesecake factory. For the most part it was a fun day together.

I love this picture with the temple in the background.
That night was Tages arrow of light award pack meeting. He was super excited about it, and we are so proud of all the hard work he has done in scouts.
He got this super cool sword that his friends dad made for the boys that night who got their award.
The rest of spring break was the kids playing, playing and playing. I got to enjoy a few days of sunshine before it clouded over. It was a great break for all of us.

The next thing on our list was Tages 5th grade Hope of America program. It was great. This is my favorite song when they turn on their flashlights and sing, it looks awesome.
Seriously, is he handsome or what?
I think I am caught up!!yeah! Kaleb gets his cast off on monday, hopefully for good. Celines play "Once upon a Highschool" is next week on thursday and friday at 7pm at Oak Canyon if anyone wants to come and see it. I am so excited to see her in it, she has been working her butt off!!!
We are definitely among those counting down the days til school ends and summer is here. May is the hardest month for all of us. I am sick of the schedule and routine and am ready for long, lazy summer days.

I miss....

I am 3 1/2 months into my crossfit adventure, and I will tell you the truth.... I love it!!!!!  I have never, ever said this about any form of exercising before(except for dancing), but I am here to tell you the truth, it is addicting. Yes, it is dang hard. Yes, somedays (ok, most days) at some point I hate it :). Yes, there are days when I don't think I can do it.... but then I tell myself that I CAN, and then I do it.  I am not really sure if anyone can tell the changes that my body has gone through, but I can, and I am so happy about it. Do I look skinnier?? I don't think so. Kaleb tells me I am looking good :), but I am getting so much stronger, I have muscles in places I have never had muscles before!!! My favorite thing to do to kaleb is to tell him, feel this muscle!!! Have I lost any weight? You would think so, but no. I think I am gaining muscle so I am  not losing any weight, but I don't care. From the start I gave myself a little pep talk that I wasn't going to do this to lose weight, if thats all I was going to focus on I knew I would get discouraged and quit. So instead its about trying to be healthier and taking care of my body, and also for my mental health. When I started cross fit at the beginning of January, my mental health was pretty low, and it stayed that way for a while. But, I can finally see that I am getting to a healthy place again mentally. I FEEL good mentally, which to me, is so important.

Camie, my friend AND my trainer, has given us challenges these last two months. Last month was no sugar, it was pretty dang hard. I messed up quite a few times, but at least I tried. But this month we are doing the ZONE, which is all about proportions of fat, carbs and proteins in each meal. Eating no sugar (or trying) last month, helped prepare me for this month, because I am still not really able to eat much of it. Today is one week of the zone, and I feel like I am doing pretty good. Its definitely not as hard as some other diets, and the upside is, I rarely ever feel hungry. I have realized that I don't eat near enough protein, and way too many carbs. :)

Will I do the zone forever? No, but I will try to implement it more into my every day life. There are just some things that I can't live without. Here is a list of things I am missing, I am giving myself a moment to think of all that I love that I am living without right now....:)
French Fries, Fry Sauce, doughnuts, red vines, sweetart gummy bunnies, reeces peanut butter cups, cookies, sugar cereals, ice cream,  eating more than 1 slice of bread,  popcorn with lots of butter, slushies, milk duds when I go to the movies,  pb m&m's.....ok, enough of that. Sorry if this post was boring, but it was helpful to me. :)

It never stops....this thing called life.

These last few weeks have been packed full of so many things!! And I have just been too lazy to want to blog about any of it. My bunko blog is almost a week over due, I can't seem to make myself do anything over this spring break. :) But I guess thats why its a break, for me too!! Lots of pictures, I'll try to let them do most of the talking! :)

On tages 11th birthday was the wax museum at school. He had done a report on Neil Armstrong and then they had to dress up as them and we went around to each kid and got a small report on their person they picked. I think he looks so cute here. :)
For tages birthday dinner he picked Sakura, so we went and had a fun time at dinner.
The day before his birthday tage invited some friends to a birthday party at nickel city. These are the parties I can do. Cake, ice-cream, presents, then took the kids to a place they can run around for a few hours and I can sit and read. I think it was a success. And tage got more legos than his heart could desire. ;)

One night for young woman's our beehive advisor put on a fashion show, "Modest is Hottest", it was awesome. They borrowed wedding dresses and prom dresses and all the girls had so much fun dressing up. All the leaders got assigned to dress up in 80's clothes, so this was my take on the 80's....pretty sweet. :)
Freakin about had a heart attack when I saw celine in this wedding dress. She looks so beautiful, and definitely don't need to see her in a dress like this again for at least 10 years. :)

I got to go to my first Real Salt Lake soccer game with kaleb and tage. It was pretty fun, even though I much prefer to watch tage play soccer, we had a good time. The highlight came after the game when we got to go and meet a bunch of the players, tage was in soccer heaven!!!

We went to our yearly Mansfield easter party, I brought my niece and nephew to come easter egg hunting with us, my kids are almost too grown up for this! It was a beautiful day and we had a great time.

Easter morning brought the usual jelly beans from the easter bunny, but this time he left a ? mark and the kids had to hunt for their baskets. Clothes, swimsuits, flip flops, candy, books and a monster high doll for aliah filled their baskets. It was a beautiful easter sunday. My first year that we didn't color eggs, and not one of my kids even mentioned it. Sad and glad at the same time.

Easter tradition of the kids getting new sunday outfits. I love to try to color coordinate at least. They all looked so good!!
I even got a new dress this year.
Well, not totally updated yet, but this is a good start.

Just a note....

I have been thinking for DAYS that I have sooo much to post about on my blog....but....the sun is shining, and it is calling my name. I don't think I can sit inside and blog when the sun is shining so warmly outside. So......check back in a day or two!!! :)
