I cried the day I took D-Will down...

There are many things in life that are unexpected, and me becoming a Jazz fan was definitely one of them! Kaleb has always watched the Jazz, but I literally have no memory of it until we moved into our house and got a big TV to watch the games on. April and Luke started to come over to watch the games too, and I thought they were soooooo boring! But then I actually started to watch and started to know what was going on and who the players were. And then I became a huge fan of Deron Williams and I was hooked! Now I do not miss watching a game unless I absolutely have too. I know all the players, I yell, I scream, I cheer. Deron Williams made me love the Utah Jazz and the game of basketball. And now he is gone. Traded to the Nets, and I feel like I have lost a good friend.
For Kalebs birthday 2 years ago I did a whole jazz room for him. Deron has been a part of our family and is there every game. And last night I had to take him down.
My kids were trying to look sad....didn't work so well! :) they are huge fans also! We are a Jazz family.
I always knew there was a big possibility that I would have to take him down one day, I just never thought it would be so soon.
But now he is gone, and I admit, it was really hard for me to let go.
But Kaleb reminded me of something, I am a JAZZ fan, not a Deron Williams fan. I wish him the best. I definitely will miss him. I don't know if I'll ever love another player like I did him. But we will see. I am still always and forever a Jazz fan and I know that there are good things to come. And for those of you laughing your heads off at me :) I totally and completely understand my insanity!!! I just can't help it.

3. I read every single day.
4. I have never owned a car with a cd player in it.
5. I played the drums in Jr. High.

The End of THINGS. :)

DAY 3 THINGS:

THINGS in the last month that have made me HAPPY! :)
1. Eating at Taco Amigo. This is always where I go when I need some comfort food. And lately I have seemed to need that alot.
2. BUNKO! Bunko makes me happy every month! Who doesn't like to hang out with some awesome woman, eat good food, play a game and win prizes??
3. A night with me and kaleb snuggling on the couch (this is a RARE occurrence) popcorn, drink and a good movie.
4. Sitting at Carls Jr. with just my kids, talking and laughing.
5. Dancing. no matter what mood I start my dance class in, I always end feeling happy.

I am learning to recognize the moments when I am truly happy, and appritiate them and realize that they are precious.

DAY 2 THINGS:

In the past month these are things that have made me mad or upset: This one was a little harder....
1: People tailgating me when I am going OVER the speed limit! Especially down the street I live on, don't they know there is ALWAYS a cop watching???
2. Someone I thought was a lifelong friend, no longer having anything to do with me. For no reason. If I did something wrong, at least tell me.
3. A person I worked with told someone else a lie about something that I DIDNT say. There is nothing worse than having to defend yourself over something you never said in the first place.
4. Jean shopping. that makes me angry AND upset. :)

Besides getting mad at my kids, it was hard to think of things that made me angry in the last month. Hopefully that is a good sign.

Celines fourteenth birthDAY

I don't think celine could have had a better birthday! Her whole day was filled with celebrating. I went in the morning and decorated her locker.
I just wanted everyone to know it was her special day! Someone pointed out to me that she turned 14 on the 14th, I didn't even think of that! I checked her out a little early from school and we met her Grandma Kris for lunch at Zupas and then some shopping. Her Grandma Kris spoiled her and she got some cute shoes, 2 cute shirts and some cute feather headbands. ( for those of you who don't know, celine is OBSESSED with feathers!)
For dinner that night we met kalebs family at my work, and had some yummy food and this cute and delicous cake. She got lots of fun gifts from everyone, and she was completely floored when me and kaleb surprised her and gave her a cellphone! We are hoping we don't regret it. :)
Hallie was so excited to celebrate with celine and to give her their present. Celine loves her cousins so much!
When we got home there was a gift and a dozen roses on our porch. Um yeah, her first dozen roses from a special someone, she was pretty dang excited and happy!
Just love this girl so much and am so glad she had such a wonderful birthday!
I think we are going to be seeing a lot of this from now on.
The day after her birthday my mom came and got celine and took her over to BYU. They went to the Carl Bloch exhibit ( which is just amazing!) and they had a look around BYU and ate at a cafe there. Celine is going to EFY in July so I was glad that my mom was giving her a tour of BYU to help her know it a little better. I am so glad my kids have grandparents who spend quality time with my kids, that is the best gift they could give!

Shes's 14!

I know I say this EVERY YEAR, but I can't believe that my daughter is another year older, and FOURTEEN this time!! Where does time go? I never feel like I have enough time with my kids, they are just growing up so fast! I wish all of you could have seen celine when she was born, bald as anything but so amazingly cute. And look at her now, she is so beautiful. How did me and kaleb create this wonderful person?? As a teenager she is a joy. As a daughter she is amazing. As a friend she is so fun. We are growing so many more levels to our relationship, I truly treasure it! She has just grown up way too fast, I have a hard time adjusting to it. It makes me so sad that she is not my little girl anymore. I miss that. But I am enjoying who she is now.

Her best friend Lauren threw her a surprise party, she has great friends. I really enjoy having them at our house and getting to know them. Good friends are so important at this age!

Happy Birthday Celine! I love you so much and am so grateful that you're my daughter. But lets wait a lot longer til you turn 15!! I can only take so much!

All you need is love....

Valentines Day is just a few days away, and as that day will be dedicated to a post of my wonderful oldest daughter, today I wanted to do a post on how much I love this little family of mine.
A few things I love about
Kaleb:
sitting and talking to him for hours, its a rare thing
when he makes me laugh
his funny faces in every picture taken
when he snuggles up to me when he's sleeping
watching the jazz games together

Celine:
she tells me things that are going on in her teenage life
she always does what she's asked with a smile on her face
talking to her like a friend, not just a daughter
being in Young Womans with her and seeing her testimony
she still hugs me and tells me she loves me every day

Tage:
he gives me hugs every day and always says thank you
he rolls around on the floor wherever he goes
its hilarious that he has discovered girls
his big brown eyes and handsome smile
he loves to make people laugh

Aliah:
how girly she is
she loves to dance and sing, just like her mom
she can't go to sleep at night without a hug and a kiss
she worries about me being home by myself
she has the best imagination

How blessed am I to have these people as my forever family? When I had celine I was not prepared for how much I loved her, and when I was expecting tage I was worried that I couldn't ever love him as much. But your love multiplies with each child. My heart is overflowing with how much I love my kids and Kaleb is like the other half of my soul.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...........

Time

Here it has been almost 2 weeks since my last post and I think every day, I need to do a new post, but TIME is something I seem to be in short supply of lately. I know we all get the same 24 hours in a day, but lately I don't seem to be spending mine in any kind of a productive way! Part of the problem was that I was sick for 2 weeks! That is 14 days of not getting anything done. I finally cleaned the upstairs of my house on monday, because it is in sad condition. But now I can't seem to find the time to clean the bathrooms or the downstairs. We had New Beginnings in Young Womans last night and it was wonderful! The girls wrote and put on a play and we spent a lot of time getting ready for that. On tuesdays I find myself running from one thing to the next like a chicken with my head cut off. I end my day at dance from 9 to 10 and I come home to a messy house that I end up cleaning because on wednesday I am off to work for two days and nothing gets done. I finally got Tage and Aliahs school valentines today so they can get them ready for monday. Monday is also celines 14th birthday, and I think I keep putting off thinking about it because everytime I do I get really emotional. I need to prepare a lesson for sunday and I also am having family dinner here that day but, really, all I want to do now when I am home is read Harry Potter. I started the series all over again and am on book 4. I just want to read all the time! I am way behind on my American Idol, and my laundry. I think my husband thinks I don't like him anymore because I haven't given him hardly any attention lately, I feel pulled in so many directions! I think I would like a vacation so I could pull myself together and get my head back on strait. I don't like feeling out of control with my life. Hopefully my next post will be much more organized!
