Bargain shopping

Oh, its the most wonderful time of the year! Despite how much I dislike the cold, and snow, and gray days and no sunshine, and now this year added that I lost my motivation to run outside once it started raining and being really cold, DESPITE all that, I love this time of year!! :) Towards the end of October I start getting a little antsy for christmas, and so as soon as Halloween is over I am listening to christmas music and starting my christmas shopping! But, I have a curse on me, the inability to buy ANYTHING unless it is on sale, or I have a coupon for it. Or both. Its a combination of having to tighten our purse strings since the economy went south a few years ago, and my budget being smaller, but still wanting to get good things for christmas. It can be stressful, overwhelming, ridiculous even trying to keep all the sales and coupons strait in my head. Sometimes I want to just walk into a store, put whatever I need into my cart, and not even look at the price....YEAH RIGHT!!!
I honestly can't even imagine doing that. I go to extreme methods to save a few dollars on anything and everything! Here are some of my favorites:
Hip2Save.com-she tells you everyday what good deals are going on, and links you to coupons and stuff. Because of this site I knew that walmart had a certain thing on sale for HALF off last night ( saving me $35). love it. check it daily.
TARGET: target cartwheel, target app/mobile coupons and printable coupons off of target.com. Oh I have saved a lot of money this christmas at target using these. You can even stack their different coupons. Its the best.
WRAPP app: this is a new one I just discovered last week, but I already got a $10 off at H&M, leading me to the best deal I have ever gotten.
2 sweaters, one marked 24.95 and one marked 17.95, marked down to 12.95 and 7.95, then buy one get one free, then my $10 off, I paid $3 for both. :)
other sites I have gotten good deals on: Groupon, groopdealz, plum district, pick your plum.
I check my email daily for coupons off at Gap, children's place, build a bear, gymboree, and lots of other places.
Despite the THRILL I get when I save $, a part of me wishes I didn't even have to worry about it.
But who's to say that if I were a millionaire that I wouldn't still be clipping coupons.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving.
My sister and her husband and kids are coming from San Diego, my other sister is getting married the day before Thanksgiving, we are having Thanksgiving with kalebs family and then BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING with trisha! LOVE black friday shopping, its all about getting awesome deals! :)
Hope you all are enjoying your holidays! I can't wait to decorate for christmas, one more week!

Balance

26 days in a row of blogging left me a little burned out. But I am so glad I did it.
But, right now, I am thinking about the balance in life.
This week has had some happy and sad things in it.
And I am grateful that they werent all sad. That the happy was there to balance it out.
Its been a rough week for me being a mother. I have been pretty disappointed in myself.
But for my bad moments as a mom, I try to balance it out by saying sorry and trying to be better.
I know my brain is reacting to the change in the weather, but I am totally going to ignore that.
I don't care if its sunny, cold, hot or snowy, I need to not let that affect me.
There is no excuse for being a crappy mom.
I am sad for the sad things that have happened this week
and I am happy for the happy things that have happened.
I am grateful that life is there to balance things out, that for every crappy moment I have as a mom, I know I have a good moment too.
Its not all good, but its definitely not all bad.
And what a blessing that is.
